Nope, it’s an unmanned drone! Congress today approved a bill that allows unmanned aircraft to fly in the same airspace as commercial airliners, private planes, and cargo jets. The legislation allocates $63.4 billion over the next three and a half years to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), $11 billion of which will be used to update air traffic control systems at 35 U.S. airports to handle the remote-controlled aircrafts. The deadline for the systems update is June 2015. The change to flight regulations will allow military, commercial, and private drones to fly over U.S. territory. Currently, drones are only allowed over certain military airspace, along U.S. borders for surveillance purposes, and to about 300 public agencies, according to the Associated Press. The FAA must submit its plan for how to safely allow wide-spread drone flight within nine months of the bill’s passage. According to the Washington Post, the agency projects 30,000 could be roaming U.S. airways by 2020. In addition to the bit about drones — which we find both awesome and horrifying — the FAA will also update to a more precise GPS system, known as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, or ADS-B. Once ADS-B is in place, aircraft fitted with the new tech will have their locations updated every second, as opposed to the six to 12 second intervals allowed by the current system. This will allow planes to come into runways at a steeper decent, fly closer together, and land and take off more quickly. The addition of ADS-B is part of a massive FAA endeavor known as NextGen. A peu près d'accord avec vous sur le constat général d'instauration d'une dictature "par la loi" mais des lois ordonnées par une minorité pour la majorité... Cependant, l'exemple de l'automobile n'est pas très heureux car lorsque des inconscients ne respectent pas des "lois" élémentaires de sécurité ils peuvent entraîner rapidement de nombreux morts innocents... Combien de familles endeuillées par des jeunes inconscients, irresponsables sans peur des "lois"... ?? Lorsque les gendarmes viennent frapper à 6 heures du matin à votre porte pour vous dire que votre fille ou fils a été fauché par un chauffard... A ce moment là je pense que vous seriez aussi pour des lois très fortes et que les conducteurs se sentent "angoissés"... {{Maintenant, le constat c'est bien, dire que c'est politique, c'est bien... Mais comment faire "bouger" les choses selon vous... ?}} Car pour l'instant, vu le rythme d'évolution des mentalités, on va droit vers un président socialiste "François Gouda de Hollande" qui adore "faire des lois" (l'actuel n'est pas mal non plus dans le genre... !). Je pense que si nous avons "F. de Hollande" le Chaos devient Certain à Brève échéance en France en tout cas... Et je ne vois pas bien ce qui pourra stopper son accession au "trône"... ??? Nous avons et continueront d'avoir de plus en plus la "Dictature par la Loi"... puis le Chaos généralisé lorsque l'impression de nouvelles dettes pour aider les banques qui se gardent "l'oseille" pour spéculer en circuit fermé aura atteint ses limites et que l'économie réelle se sera effondrée... Ils déclencheront la guerre avec l'Iran pour créer la 3ème guerre mondiale en espérant ainsi imposer une dictature totale... Mais il y a de très grandes chances dans ces conditions que cela se termine par le Chaos Généralisé... Nous avons trop bien vécu, la majorité des gens sont trop "décervelés" par la TV, la moindre difficulté semble insurmontable au plus grand nombre trop assisté... Quand les conditions deviendront dures ça sera le "Chacun pour soi et Dieu pour tous"... = Chaos, effondrement type Empire Romain...
